About this tool
Merging is the quickest way to turn a pile of separate documents into one tidy file: a signed contract plus its annexes, scanned receipts for an expense claim, or chapters exported one by one. This tool copies every page of each PDF, in the order shown, into a single new document. Text stays selectable, links and page sizes are kept, and nothing is re-compressed, so quality is identical to the originals.
You can also mix in photos and scans. JPG and PNG files are added as their own pages, centred on an A4 or Letter sheet (or at the image's own size if you prefer), and phone photos are turned the right way up automatically.
Everything happens on your device with an open-source PDF engine running in the browser. Tip: if a file is password-protected, open it in your PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and add that copy instead.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDFs are read and combined by code running in this browser tab. They never leave your device, which also means merging works offline once the page has loaded.
How do I change the order?
Drag a card by its grip handle (on a phone, press and hold the card for a moment, then drag). You can also use the up and down arrows, or the A-Z button to sort by file name.
Will the merged PDF lose quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without converting or re-compressing them, so text, vector graphics and images look exactly like the originals.
Why does a file show as password-protected?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be combined without first removing the protection. Open the file in your usual PDF reader with its password, save or print it to a new PDF, and add that copy.
Is there a limit on the number of files?
There is no fixed limit. Very large merges (hundreds of megabytes) depend on how much memory your device has.
